Versiona CuboPlus: terms of use and privacy policy
Version of October 7, 2026, with the app's master items and variables among the data handled.
This is a courtesy translation. If there is any difference, the Portuguese version prevails.
Versiona CuboPlus ("Versiona") is a browser extension by Cubotimize that takes the load script of Qlik Sense apps to a Git repository (GitLab or GitHub) chosen by the user's company, with the comment of whoever made the change, the version history and the restoring of an earlier version. By installing, configuring or using Versiona, you accept these terms.
1. Free, as is, and without an SLA
Versiona is free and provided "as is", without warranty of any kind and without a service level agreement (SLA). There is no commitment as to response time, fixes, availability, compatibility with future versions of Qlik Sense, GitLab, GitHub or the browser, or support.
Suggestions and problem reports are welcome at the email address [email protected], and are handled according to Cubotimize's availability, with no deadline.
2. Responsibility of the user
The company that uses Versiona, and its team responsible for BI, are responsible for:
- authorizing the use of Versiona and defining who may use it;
- choosing the Git repository, keeping it private and controlling who has access to it;
- the content of the versioned scripts, which may contain business rules, table names and connection details;
- the access credentials (logins, OAuth apps and tokens) used in the connection to Git;
- checking a version before restoring it: restoring replaces the app's script in Qlik;
- compliance with internal policies, with contracts with third parties (Qlik, GitLab, GitHub) and with applicable law, including the LGPD (the Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
Versiona does not write to a public repository: the extension refuses to write when the repository is visible to anyone. This safeguard reduces the risk, but does not replace the access control carried out by the company.
3. Limitation of liability
Cubotimize and the CuboPlus brand are not liable for misuse, for improper use or for use of Versiona without the appropriate authorizations, nor for direct or indirect damages, loss of profits, loss or leakage of data, interruption of processes or any other loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the extension.
In particular, Cubotimize is not liable for:
- scripts written to repositories that are misconfigured, shared or exposed by the company or by third parties;
- scripts replaced by a restore, or written with the wrong comment;
- use by a person without authorization from the company or from the BI team;
- unavailability, change or failure of Qlik Sense, GitLab, GitHub, the browser or the network;
- credentials shared, leaked or kept longer than necessary by the user;
- the security of the user's computer, browser and account: a compromised machine, malicious software, a copied browser profile or third-party access to the equipment;
- the Git configuration made by the company: the OAuth app, the tokens, the permissions, the network and the policy distributed by IT;
- the nightly routine, which runs on the company's server, with the credentials it keeps there.
The extension includes features that reduce the risk of misuse of the token, such as encrypting the token in the browser and requiring a PIN or biometrics. They reduce the risk and do not eliminate it, and they do not replace the security of the computer or the controls of the Git host. Features marked as experimental are offered for evaluation, with no commitment that they will work.
4. Privacy: what Versiona processes, and where it stays
Cubotimize does not receive, store or see the scripts, the credentials or the Qlik data. Versiona has no server of its own in the path: everything goes from your browser straight to Qlik and to the Git repository configured by your company.
| Load script | Read in Qlik, in your session, and sent to the configured Git repository when you save a version. Compared with the latest version in the repository to show the difference. |
| Master items and variables | The expressions of master measures and dimensions and the app variables are read in Qlik, in your session, together with the script. They only go to the configured Git repository if the option to version them is turned on for the server, and when you save a version. Versiona does not change these items in Qlik. |
| App name and id | Used to find the app's file in the repository, and written in the footer of each version's message. |
| Your name and login in Git | They become the author of the versions and of the comments, in the company's own Git, as in any commit. |
| Credentials | The Git access token stays in the browser's local storage, encrypted with a key of the browser itself and accessible only to the internal part of the extension (not to web pages). It is never sent to Cubotimize. Disconnecting deletes the token; the GitLab OAuth is also revoked. |
| Configuration | Servers, repositories and the confirmation of these terms stay in the browser, or arrive through the organization's policy. |
| Drafts | A comment not yet saved stays in the browser's session memory and disappears when you save it or close the browser. |
Versiona has no telemetry, usage analytics, ads or tracking, and does not sell or share data. Any processing of personal data that takes place in the company's systems (Qlik and Git) is the company's responsibility, as controller, under Brazilian Law 13,709/2018 (LGPD).
5. Browser permissions
| storage | Store the configuration, the connection to Git and the drafts. |
| identity | Open the GitLab login window (OAuth). |
| activeTab, scripting | Read and write the script in the Qlik tab where you clicked the icon. |
| site access (optional) | Only to the Qlik and Git addresses you configure, and only after you allow it. This is what lets the mascot appear in Qlik and the extension talk to Git. It can be withdrawn at any time in the browser settings. |
6. Suggestions and problem reports by email
The "Suggestion or bug" button opens your email program with a message to [email protected], with the extension version already filled in. Anything else you send is your choice. Do not send scripts, passwords, tokens or client data: to describe a problem, what happened and what appeared on screen is enough. The messages are used only to reply and to improve Versiona.
7. Invitation to follow CuboPlus
When you activate the first server, and on the servers screen, Versiona invites you to follow CuboPlus on Instagram and LinkedIn. They are only links: following is optional, is not a condition of use, and the extension neither knows nor records whether you followed. Anyone who opens the links becomes subject to the terms of those networks.
8. Trademarks
Versiona, CuboPlus and the Versiona mascot are trademarks of Cubotimize. Qlik and Qlik Sense are trademarks of QlikTech; GitLab, of GitLab Inc.; GitHub, of GitHub, Inc. Versiona is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. When the text you confirm in the server setup changes, Versiona asks for confirmation again before the next write.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Contact: [email protected].
